Abstract/Description  
Headwaters outlines goals and strategies for achieving open space and resource protection in the natural areas and working landscapes of Sanford.  Developed by members of the Sanford and Springvale community with help from regional conservation partners, the plan is based on community conservation values and addresses the specific conservation goals of Sanfordís Comprehensive Plan.  The plan includes recommendations for conserving Sanfordís Green Infrastructure and outlines voluntary strategies to accomplish these recommendations.  You will also find maps identifying conservation resources, including the Recommended Focus Areas map which highlights areas in Sanford with special conservation significance.
